Can I make a suggestion about the newest Radio feature, or radio type

The radio page looks like this if you display one stream:

However, I managed to re-use the album page view to get this display for my radio pages:

I think what I’m trying to say is, the album page would look a lot nicer as a radio page.
It give you much more flexibility over the content you put on the page.

As you can see in the sidebar on my site, using the djmix view to display popular channels.
That new radio post type is using that djmix view right?

What you think? is it something you might consider in future updates?
It would save me creating two pages every time I want to add a new radio station,
But that’s just my personal preference.

We will consider updates only if there is a new demand more than 10 people and if people are interested in extending their support license. If there is no benefit then i will not prefer to add the feature.

It would be great if the player could display an image from either album or djmix.
Or even better but I dunno about multiple shoutcast streams, now playing info in player!
What about making a new field in the album view where you could put some code to get now playing
info then it would be displayed in the player like a line of text or something.

I have a site with multiple shoutcast streams, but no stream info for each shoutcast channel in the player.

Anything that makes the player more compatible with Shoutcast or Icecast streams.

We are working on a new theme similar to Musicplay which will be releasing in couple of months with all the features of Musicplay and more flexible and Advanced functionality as well for that we will be releasing that as a beta before it is finally released on Themeforest.

Hi,

Just an idea,
I have a site that uses the album page and djmix to create internet radio pages.

By default the player only displays info for the stream you entered in the player options.

Something like this for the player, this is the tunein player.
The now playing text scrolls left if you hover over it, nice image of the current stream.
I’m thinking it could be a field on album page where you’d enter code to get the stream info.
Maybe it could use the album image..
That way it could work for every album page, you could click on any play button and the player
would display relevant info for that stream, from the album info field…

Does that make any sense?

I added a shortcode for ratings to the album blocks on the home page,
They get listed in google search with ratings.

I added the ratings shortcode into the Genre field of the musicplay djmix genre options,
But that genre field will cut the code when you save it..

It works but you can’t go back and edit the code coz it’s stripped out.

It would be nice if you added this feature so we don’t need a 3rd party plugin.

show properly in the djmix block I’m using in the sidebar:

I know WP-PostRatings plugin wasn’t make for this but it looks nice,
For example, it also shows in the player if you click any play button,
But the star ratings thing won’t have it’s ajax effect when you vote,
It does let you vote but you’d have to refresh the page to see the results.

@sounds – New Release is already uploaded and in the Q. Will be ready for download in a day. Regarding your rating stuff, we can make fixes for you those with the widgets area showing the hardcode instead of the ratings. Make sure you extend the license.

Everyone take a backup of your stuff like theme and database and everything before the update to the new version (9.0) which will be live by 2nd January 2018. If something goes wrong you can restore it back to the old running version.
