Hi,
When i click on any djmix link, they open the small player page, list view?
I had it working so the links opened the page with player, and social shares.
I forget how to fix it? I have Album selected in player radio/audio options.
What I mean is, I think the links are loading list view instead of album view.
You had it working before so kindly go through the backup files whatever the modifications you made before. But as of now it’s not possible with djmix shortcode.
I can’t remember exactly how I did it…
All I know is I went into the child theme settings and set the titles for
Djmix Slug and Album Slug to Channels.. and then the title links for the sidebar
block I added a text widget with the short code for
[djmixlist cat=”live-stream” limit=”4″ orderby=”date” order=”ASC” pagination=”false”]
But all the links, even in the player and homepage brought up this type of page
aivahthemes.com/musicplay/album/hyper-colour-remix/ which is what I want them to do.
I’m not seeing that page now when I click any link, just a page with the tiny player.
I can’t figure out what’s up here,
I have a few djmix pages and a few album pages,
When I click on a djmix link it should bring me to a djmix page layout,
When I click on an album link it should take me to an album page layout, right?
Neither are working unless I set the same title for each slug.
And then all I get is that small player on a page for either djmix or album page.
I then set the slug title for ablum back to album and djmix slug title djmix
None of the links work for djmix or album pages, I had them all working nicely before the upgrade.
Am I making any sense?
Sorry I’m gettin stressed out.
Hi,
I set the album slug to “album” and djmix slug to “channel”
Now when I go to the Album section and click on the view link for any album,
The new page opens with link /album/page and then redirects to /channel/page.
It’s not meant to redirect is it?
Is there a setting I’m missing to show that full page view?
All I see is the small player on the page
You need to reset your permalink structure if you change the slug at any time to make it work perfectly with the new slug.
Regarding the list view I don’t understand or may be Iam confused with your question
When I go to your site http://www.mixlive.ie/ I see the album style view and when i click on it I see the list view of that style.
I’m confused myself, I had all the links opening the full view page, you know the page
with the image on the left, player on the right, and social share links under the image.
It’s not doing that any more.
If you hover over any link you’ll see http://www.site.com/album/page but when you click the links
they take you to http://www.page.com/channel/page I don’t like that layout.
I never changed the permalinks, don’t know what to change them to.
I’m not sure what you mean sorry,
Is there a way I can get the full page view instead of the djmix view
It’s like I just set the djmix slug and album slug to “channel”
And they just worked in the previous theme release, that’s what I wanted.
Maybe I did it by mistake but it looked good.
I don’t know if the theme was intended to do it the way I’m using it,
I named the Album Slug “radio
Also named the DJmix Slug “radio”
Then I went to WP Settings > Permalinks and selected Custom Structure, saved it.
That gave each page the small DJmix appearance which I didn’t like,
I discovered if I renamed the DJMix Slug to “radios” then did the permalinks save again,
Went back to the DJMix Slug, rename it to “radio” didn’t do permalinks changes this time,
I end up with the album page view which i think fills the page out nicer:
You cannot have 2 post types with the same slug. It will be a conflict. We are about to release a new version in which a new radio post types are added where you can use those as a radio posts with the stream links its a replica of the djmix radio post types.
Well I’m still having issues getting that nice page album view I described with images above.
When I save the permalinks I’m left with a pretty basic looking djmix view on the page, instead of the nice album view I managed to achieve by not updating the permalinks.
What can I do? I don’t want the djmix view on those pages.
I don’t know if you understand the scenario I’m describing.
I am aware that naming the two slugs for Album and DJMix the same, will cause conflict,
But I don’t know how to get that album view for each page, unless I just create pages and make them album pages, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having a;bum and djmix pages.
I’m probably using the theme differently than you intended,
I have a headache.
