Good Afternoon,
I do not see where in the back end of the site that I adjust the settings for the header on the homepage. I have the demo content installed now. But I don’t see where or how we add our own image as I begin to build the site.

HI typo,
you can edit the header settings in the theme options panel,
Go to Appereance->Labora->Header From there you do your own styling, also don’t forget to save before moving to other options.
