Hi Mawk,

just a quick question – will I lose all my settings from the Theme Option Panel if I update the theme?

Nope you won’t lose any setting unless you are using the child theme. If you are not using child theme then you nee to follow this step. Theme Option > Options Backup > Click on Export Options and then Download the theme setting this might help you. Let me know is there anything else i can assist you with?
