I have a Shoutcast version 2 stream url stream
I can’t seem to get it to work in the player.
Tried putting /; and /;stream and /stream.mp3 on the end.
I think i fixed the first stream url issue,
When I visited the Shoutcast status page for the stream I saw:
Stream is currently up but requires registration in the SHOUTcast Directory.
Listeners are allowed and the stream will act like it is private until resolved.
I thought it was an authash thing at first..
Shoutcast v2 streams are not public by default, you have to register an authash.
Which explains why I was seeing the message above.
I went to the Shoutcast status page for the stream, clicked Server Login link top right,
It didn’t let me in first, I have admin access to the stream so I changed the admin pass,
The stream started playing on my site, I didn’t even create the authash.
Can’t do that for every stream unfortunately, some of them are submitted, no admin access.
But we know how to resolve it for future reference, at least for our own streams 🙂
It seems every time I log in to the stream as admin and update the admin password
for the shoutcast login to register authash, the stream starts playing on my site, then stops.
Some of the streams are working fine across the web in other web players.
But some of them are private, they are still playing in other web players,
The streams work fine when tested, they’re not playing properly on my site’s player.
