I’ve installed the latest update of Labora on my staging site. It initially crashed the site, but we were able to run debugging to comment out some of the code to get wordpress to at least load. Now, when previewing the site, only the home page will load and all of the subpages are stuck on the loading screen.
Additionally, the search icon and functionality has disappeared even though the code for that remains the custom CSS.
Can someone respond to this issue? The current theme is not compatible with the latest version of wordpress from the back end (theme options will not load) but I obviously can’t push the theme update to the live site to fix that issue if it breaks all of the pages except the home page. I need this resolved ASAP.
You seem to be responding to other support requests. Is there a reason no one is addressing this one? My site is broken.
I see that your system has cache issue. Kindly please clear the cache and check. I have checked the site and everything is working fine at my end. If the problem still persist then please contact us via Skype support so that I can share the screen for you and show you how to clear cache.
I checked as did my hosting provider and the site isn’t caching. However, the hosting provider was able to determine the following which is probably a bug in the current theme:
“Since the browser console was showing a 500 error, I checked the PHP logs on the server and found it was full of these exceptions: Call to undefined function is_shop()
I google’d that and found that it was typically associated with themes integrating with the WooCommerce plugin. You don’t have WooCommerce, so I tried installing that plugin and voila, it works now. This is a bug in the theme that they need to fix. They should be checking to see if WooCommerce exists before making calls to its functions.”
It seems to be working for the time being with the installation of the WooCommerce plugin though it’s not used anywhere on our site.
Thanks for responding.
