The Labora theme options tab is completely missing from my install and there is no way for me to style the site, which pretty much parks this project from the get-go. I purchased and downloaded the theme from Themeforest a couple of hours ago and uploaded the labora.zip theme file via appearances>themes>add new as I always do for any new theme. and the only tab from this theme that is appearing in my WordPress dashboard is the BH Pro plugin which we don’t even need. I have two screenshots to share, but I don’t see a place to upload them here.

I was able to install the demo content, however, there’s still no styling tab for the theme, and I need to style the site before I can build it. I had several hours set aside to work on this site tonight and am very frustrated it couldn’t even install properly because this is going to set me back a lot now. I’ve never had this issue with any other themes.

Okay, I generated some URLs for my images so hopefully you can see these screenshots to see that my labora theme options tab is completely missing.

Under the Appearance > Labora click on the Labora which displays the theme options for you. As I see you have not installed the theme as suggested in the documentation as well. you need to install the Child Theme and then activate child theme no the parent.

Okay, I’m looking at the documentation and I don’t understand it. So we cannot upload the theme directly to WordPress we have to upload via FTP? AND we have to upload the child theme and activate that?
Are you sure we have to use FTP?
I prefer to upload directly via WordPress because less can go wrong that way.

“Before you install the theme, make sure your wordpress version is 4.1 or higher. Then upload the latest version from folder “Themefiles” find the latest version asv stated in the themeforest item description page, open the folder from the current version and copy the Labora folder and upload it to your wordpress themes directory:/wp-content/themes/ through your FTP Client. It should read like wp-content/themes/Labora Not as wp-content/themes/1.5/Labora/
Then go the full package downloaded and find the Labora-child folder which also needed to be uploaded. Do not upload the complete zip file downloaded from the themeforest. Now Go to WP-Admin > Appearance > Themes and Labora Child Theme screenshot and activate it.”

You can use the WordPress upload option if you don’t have an option to upload or use FTP.
