we’re having trouble displaying testimonials. The shortcode has been added but it only shows the code on the page, not the actual content.

If you can provide us WP Logins to your website with URL then we can take a closer look at it. Make sure you set the post as private reply so that only admin can see your wp-logins.

We’re having the same issue using revolution slider with the theme too. It’s only showing the shortcode not the slider.

Ok so it seems your theme does not play well with multi-network setup. I’ve done a fresh install on a single WP setup and all is working well so far.
