You need to use only /%postname%/ not /%category%/%postname%/ which is wrong.

    It’s the same thing,
When I’m in a category events, shows home/”event_cat”/catname
When I’m at an event, home/”events”/eventname.

    what’s wrong ?

Yes, i think that for SEO it’s better to have a link structure as

    http://domain.com/%event_category%/%event_name%/

    or http://domain.com/events/%event_category%/%event_name%/
(where domain.com/events/ is the parent page that shows all events list)

The same thing for albums, and other custom post which has category
so if we have an event name XYZ in FESTIVAL category, and a user search
on google “festival XYZ” has a better chance to find it by correspondence link.

If it’s not possible maybe a shortcode which shows all posts of a event category
could be a solution to put in a page called FESTIVAL.

We have already started making event shortcode will be release in the next updates. So you don’t have to worry about it. Album shortcode is already there in the theme.
