After updating the theme on my site the search feature no longer displays in the menu bar. I can’t find any code to edit and resolve this myself. Can you please take a look? Will send site login info in private message.
Hi lconaway_2,
You had selected a fixed header option. The search icon option is not added in the fixed header if you want to add then give permission to edit the theme. I unable to edit the theme or else give permission to add a file manager plugin so that I can able to add search icon code inside the fixed header also. As of now, I selected the default header.
You have permission to edit the theme, but I’m testing a multisite installation so you have to edit the theme at the network level. So from My Sites, select Network Admin and then Themes and you’ll see the Theme Editor there.
Thanks!
Hi lconaway_2,
Sorry for the inconvenience. I unable to save the file getting this error Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.. Can you please provide us FTP logins or else give your skype/email id so that I can send you the file.
