It seems that the playlist is not visible on the smartphone devices. Also I don’t see where I can alter the layout of the player. I would like to use the box layout for the player. cutmasterdc.org

Kindly let us know in which device the player is invisible. You can’t change the layout of the player but you can change the layout of the whole theme in Theme Options-> Styling-> Layout Option(Boxed/Stretched).
