Currently, my pest categories are utilizing a querystring: ?pest_category=stinging-insects
?pest_category=stinging-insects
Are there any means of utilizing a permalink structure for this instead?
Try using https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-category-permalink/ to make your custom permalink structures. Follow this article where I have explained and given examples on how to change it in last few posts. http://support.aivahthemes.com/forums/topic/pest-url-localization/
Unfortunately, that’s not the issue. I don’t want a category permalink in the actual custom post. I just want the category to have a unique URL. https://gofreedompestcontrol.com/?pest_category=insects to https://gofreedompestcontrol.com/pest_category/insects/
The plugin you provided and the example changes the Post URL, not the category URL.
Try this, go to permalinks > Select post name and see.
