Is there any possible way to order the events by date? We are using the shortcode for event carousel on the homepage, but they are ordered by date created (post date), not date of event.

It seems as though this is a recurring question without much of an answer. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. I’ve looked through all documentation and support forums without luck. I am a developer myself, so I’m no stranger to the backend of WordPress themes and if this is something I can edit myself, that would be ideal.

Theme version 3.1.0 is running on WordPress version 4.1.1

Sorry do you want to order the event by event date or the date of published date. If you wish to have it ordered by the date of event then its not there currently but we will consider adding that feature soon in the coming future releases.

We need the events ordered by the event date that it happens. For example, we are loading in future events, but they are not displaying in order of when the event should happen, instead they are ordering by the time the event was created.

This is a huge disappointment and downfall of this theme, in my opinion. I am confused as to why that wouldn’t be a default setting in the first place.

Is there any way to adjust the functions.php to force it to order the events this way?

Thanks for the quick response! Is there something I need to do on my end because I am still seeing the events out of order.

In the screenshot you can see the jumbled dates.
We need the events to appear in ascending order so the closest event (March to the Prize Madness – March 27) appears FIRST (on the left), then Pint Night Renegade (Apr 1), Lagunitas Pint Night (Apr 8), and finally Pint Night Infusion (Apr 22).

Hi @stevederbin – Go to Theme Options > Linofeast Options > Events Order By and change its order by format and below order Asc or Desc to make it working.
