Hi,
Have a few questions about the theme setup please,
Just installed the MusicPlay theme folder and the MusicPlay Child theme,
I activated the child theme as said in the docs, is the rest of the tutorial referring to setting up the child theme?
The docs are a bit different than my wordpress install, I have the latest wordpress version.
3. Once Theme is activated Go to Theme Options by clicking on the Musicplay on the WordPress Navigation menu. See Image Below
I don’t have anything in wordpress that says Theme Options so I assumed you meant click on the MusicPlay Child link in wordpress left menu?
This brings me to the MusicPlay Child page, I can see the link Import Sample Content, so I clicked that and waited for a message ‘Content Imported Successfully’
I didn’t get that message so assumed it has installed everything, I can see new posts, comments, pages were created in wordpress.
5. Once the importing content is done now go to Theme Options > Import/export tab and click on the import button from the options which comes with the default installation. Later you can make a backup of your options panel and save it in this area.
Once again I don’t see any option in wordpress for Theme Options > Import/Export
So I assumed you’re referring to the tab in the MusicPlay Child page called “Options Backup”?
There is two separate sections in this page Export Backup Options & Import Backup Options
The Export Backup Options has an option to download – Live-Demo-Options
The Import Backup Options has 3 options to import – 1. Live-Demo-Options, 2. New-SampleDemo-Options & 3. Sample-Demo-Options
Should i import all 3 options to the child theme or just 1 or the 3?
Is that how i change the theme style, import one of these each time i want to change it?
Think that’s it for now,
Thanks in advance
We have provided the clear documentation for you along with the theme. Go through the documentation once. And yes theme options are present in Musicplay Child. To import the demo content, you have to click on “Import Sample Content”. This will import Posts, Pages, other Custom Post Types, Comments, Custom fields, Post Meta, Categories, Tags, Terms from custom taxonomies and Authors. After importing, you will get a message “Content Imported Successfully”.
Regarding Options Backup, you can keep a backup of your theme options by downloading the file. To import sample options of your theme options, you can import any one option. No need to import all the three. Those are related to theme options to import back up of it.
After importing, it displays the message for a second and it disappears.. I think you have not seen the message. You have to use your own images.
Ok thanks, can I ask,
I’m using the theme as a directory for shoutcast streams,
Is there any way to make the player stay loaded when browsing to other pages?
The whole theme seems to refresh and the player, maybe that’s how it’s meant to be.
Thanks
Please provide us url of your website along with wp logins, then we can take a closer look at it. Make sure you set the post as private reply so that only admin can see your wp-logins.
Please provide ftp Logins details…
I have seen that the URL which you have provided in WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are different. So make sure you use the same URL’s for both WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) in WP Settings.
Sorry, I meant, I changed it that way so that it wouldn’t show the sub directory in the url
I was doing it from this guide https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
Fixed the issue! We made changes in MusicPlay Child Theme.
Edited File: musicplay-child/framework/common/head.php
No prob thanks, but I have a feeling it’s to do with the ajax when it’s enabled
I can send you the ip:port format for those streams but I tried every combination I know that works,
And I still get a download link popup if I click any play button.
Hi,
Any good news on this issue yet? hope you had time a look at it.
Basically the site won’t function correctly with stream urls when ajax is enabled.
That is an issue on your end not mine correct?
Hope you can figure something out, or I have wasted 60 $ on your theme.
Thanks,
E Mar
