    Hi,

What’s the procedure for copying the theme?
I want to do a different color scheme for a copy of the theme,
Then let the user select which one they like on the front-end.

    Thanks

There is no documentation we have provided for this but if you know the code on how to do this then you can do all your custom work in child theme.

Yes, you need to copy and do changes in the child theme and replicate the files from the parent theme. Make sure you take a backup of everything before you make any updates as if something goes wrong you can restore it to the working version.

Copy the files from parent theme to child theme by following the same path.

Could I not just copy the child theme and rename it, then customize that copy?

If you need to do any changes in the parent theme then copy those files from the parent theme to child theme by following the same path and do the changes in child theme only. Make sure you take a backup of everything before you make any updates as if something goes wrong you can restore it to the working version.
