I see that you have not installed the plugin called The Events Calendar Plugin so it was not displaying the events tab for you. I see the gallery is bit difficult but we will consider making it more easier for you all in the next updates.

Currently for gallery you need to click on Add Media and upload the images from your Local PC. We will consider adding images from your media library as well soon.

Actually that is not correct. The Church Themes plugin (with the events calendar) is installed. If you switched the theme, you would see the tab appear. However it disappears once the Hopes theme is activated.

For the gallery, when you go to add a new gallery, there is no “Add Media” button or area to click on. It is not there.

I have installed the plugin which is recommended with this theme and its showing perfectly.
Regarding the gallery Add Media button take a look at the screenshot here.

So your theme does not use the calendar that comes with the Church Theme plugin? And as far as the gallery goes, your theme basically styles the built in WordPress gallery?

I have activated the The Events Calendar Plugin and its working fine now. And please deactivate the Events Manager Plugin.

Yes, basically styles the builtin wordpress gallery, already we have implemented that in our theme.
