You can’t change the logo size but you can upload the logo with smaller dimensions like 200X50.

Is there a way to change it in the CSS

I am updating the home page that comes with the demo. Is there a visual layout or do I update right in the shortcode text

    Thanks

No, there is no visual layout. You have to enter the text.

Its there in the theme options styling > custom css section where you can add your custom css code. If you know you can inspect the element using the chrome then find the class names and do add your custom css code.
