I have version 1.2.0 of Hopes installed and there is no Events on the events page. There is also not a events menu module so I don’t see how to add events? I just downloaded the latest version of the theme 5 minutes ago and installed it. I have the child theme activated.

More information. When I activate Twenty Fifteen the Events menu item shows up. It disappears when I reactivate Hopes or the child theme. So the issue seems to be with the church-theme-content plugin. Help. I need this working.

You have to download the events plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

No problem. I was confused with that too. They need to make it more clear. Glad you got it fixed.

I, too, had the same issue and got it working. Only issue I have is it’s not the PRO version that includes recurring events. Was that supposed to come with the theme?

The Event Calender Pro is not a part of theme but we make the theme to make it compatible with pro features.
