    Hey guys,

Thanks for an awesome theme. I’m wondering if you can help me with a couple of things. I’m trying to create an event calendar and feed. Is this supported with the native event feature? If so, how do I get a calendar and/or a feed to display on its own page?

Also, I’m using the theme ‘stretched’ rather than boxed. However, I can’t seem to get my pages to also be stretched. You can click stretch but then it is WAY stretched or do default and it looks like there is a sidebar there but empty. Any thoughts? (Example: http://taitwebdesigns.com/us/)

    Regards,
    Daniel

For the events, I download a separate plugin to do what I need. How can I disable the native “Events” on the WordPress Dashboard? It now shows two of them.

    Thanks!

I have disable the event post type and you need to rename single_event.php to single_event2.php it located in theme root folder it will work perfect. Let me know is there anything else to assist you.

Ok great thanks! Will I lose this upon theme update? I have created a child theme so should I do something differently to make sure this change will stay?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Wajid,

I’ve since moved this site to http://www.biztech.org and the second “event” menu came back in the WordPress Dashboard. I renamed the file like you mentioned but it is still there. Where/what do I need to change in functions.php to make it go away?

    Thanks!

If you can come online in Skype then we can share the screens and see as i see its working fine at my end without bounce back to any dashboard.

    MAQK,

It shows correctly on taitwebdesigns.com but not on biztech.org. I developed the site on the first domain and then ported it over. During the move, my change was undone.

Its fixed. You need to go to any page which you wish to have stretched and make sure the page template is selected as stretched.

    MAQK,

I’m sorry I think you’ve mistaken what the issue was. The issue was that on my dashboard there are two “events” tabs on the left. How do I remove the native events tab since I’m using a plugin.

You need to disable the events post type which came with the theme. For this you need to alter functions.php file. If you can enable the admin logins i will make a changes for you.
