Duplicate title & descriptions in paginated pages

Hi there,
We do know that Google dislikes duplicate content for title and descriptions, and this aspect generates bad things for pagerank and position in searching results.
Unfortunately, paginated pages generates such issue. Despide of using All In One SEO PlugIn, in wich I have the option: << Remove Descriptions For Paginated Pages: Check this and your Meta Descriptions will be removed from page 2 or later of paginated content. >> the descriptions and title remains the same :

If you look at the page surce you will see the same title and description.

Regarding you’re constant care for SEO optimisation of Music Play, what is you’re advice? What we can do to avoid this duplicate content in order to not irritate Google?

If you can provide with WP Logins then we can take a closer look at it. Make sure you set the post as private reply so that only admin can see your wp logins.

I’ve checked…and no, is nothing changed. The gallery pages 2,3,4 and beyond, have the same description as the first one. Maybe is nothing what we can do to eliminate title and description for pages after the first one.
Indeed, the title in the adress bar looks like this:

http://www.djdaniel.ro/gallery/foto-dj-daniel/?galleryPage=4
But the title and description in page surce is the same for all pages. If I have 5 pages in a foto gallery, or video or anything else that is paginated, I will have duplicate metas.
Thank’s anyway, maybe is something we can do…

I’ve cheked and video pagination, and its working there! Video pages with pagination have different title and no description:

We have fixed it in the 1.6 version. By the way if you can check now and let me know as I have fixed on your site about the breadcrumb in the foto dj daniel page. Modified file is header.php.

Removed Code in header.php file

AND !is_singular("gallery") AND !is_singular("video")

I have updated the theme, is 1.6 now. But please, if you can, take a look again on my site, because that code is still present in header, in many instances, and I don’t know wich one I should delete!

And still is nothing change, the duplicate title and descriptions remains. Maybe is something about Breadcrumb NavXT? They updated the plugin recently and the old one’s behaivior is strange, it can be deactivate but it can not be deleted!

Also I try to deactivate the new Breadcrumb NavXT? 5.01 and it doesn’t wont to deactivate or leave permanently….

I’ve deleted the Breadcrumb NavXT? plugin’s directory with ftp, I have acces on my site root, but nothing changed, the duplicates still remain. I’ve cheked the duplicates with Google Webmaster Tools Account and Attracta, they see them also.

I’ve disabled the breadcrumbs option for the theme, from MusicPlay General Options, with no result. Duplicates are there. So…my humble thought is that the only remaining explanation is that the duplicates title and description are generated by the pagination php codes implementation inside the core itself. Because, on the video pagination, who works as is aspected, on the bottom of the page is present the following: Page 1 of 2 | Page 2 of 2, meanwhile on gallery pagination they are not. Aspect wich give me the idea that the Gallery Pagination and Video Pagination are not the same.

What do you think?

Gallery Limit I set to 8 and its working fine now. Single page Galleries Limit is 40 and its working fine.

I understand your query.
For single pagination title will not get changed. That’s custom query. Video page is a page template and even part appears for the gallery page template but single page pagination is a custom pagination its not paginated into wordpress query so it will not reflect the title as its inline pagination.

That’s what I mean!!! Thank you very, very, very much!!!
The duplicate titles and descriptions for pages 2 and beyond dissapears!
This is essential for Google to not pennalise the duplicate content and get down the site from it’s positioning in searching ( U know )
