When I use the menu feature in the theme and then visit the live site, the url is as follows (for example): http://www.mysite.com/menutype/beer

How to I change the name of menutype in the url? I’d rather it display something like this: http://www.mysite.com/beermenu/beer

Where do I find the code to change this? I would also like to change it for each menu item. Each menu item url is as follows: http://www.mysite.com/foodmenu/litebeer. I’d like to change the foodmenu url as well.

It can be done by permalink structure changing in wordpress settings. Regarding that if you can provide me the wp logins and URL then we can take a closer look at it and let you know. Make sure you set the post reply as private so only admin can view the logins.

No, I have not done it yet. I’m try to change the following:

On the menu page, I want to change:
liquidhero.com/wp/menutype/brews to liquidhero.com/wp/brews/beer

I want to change the ‘menutype’ category name.

Same goes for each menu item.

Instead of liquidhero.com/wp/foodmenu/adams
I ‘d like to change the ‘foodmenu’ category to something like beer.

That’s a posttype that can’t be changed.
You can’t have everything changed to their specific types 🙂

Wordpress Doesn’t gives permission to change but you can use http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/ i think.
