I’m not sure if this is related to my previous post about the fixed header hanging off the right side of the box in boxed mode, but I am having another boxed-mode-specific problem. When I resize my browser window to the point where the top bar just appears, all of the web content gets jammed right up against the left side of the box, while all of the content on the right side gets pushed out into the boxed margin. This seems like a scaling issue relative to the browser size.
Any update on this problem? I noticed that the Labora live preview on ThemeForest switched to boxed mode for a couple of days. This issue was clearly happening on the preview as well as my site, so this isn’t just a problem for WordPress-hosting.
I have been poking around at the CSS to see if I can find a solution, so far without success. I am thinking that a boxed-mode specific “max-width” needs to be added/changed in responsive.css somewhere to appropriately restrict the content to the box.
Here is some additional information: The behavior of content over-flowing the borders of the box (on the right margin) or getting pushed right up against the box (left margin) seems to change as I resize my desktop browser window. The point where the behavior changes seems to roughly correspond to the different window-sizes define in responsive.css. It also appears to affect all of the content (topbar, header, subheader, body, and footer), so it is probably a general content-area setting. This also does not appear to be browser-specific (it happens in both Chrome and Edge).
The content of the boxes is forced to the full width. When you are using the boxed layout you need to change certain things in the row like removing stretched option in the VC Edit row option.
Yes, we shown boxed mode for a client and then didn’t reverted back to the original layout. If you are concerned about the stretched contents when using the boxed mode please use Skype I can give you a small walkthrough on how to understand about the boxed mode and non-stretched content.
