Blurry images when upload to slider

Hello, I have 2 issues.

1. When I upload a image to slider the image is not clear like I have it in the original JPG. I tried various things but nothing is working. The image was not enlarged.

2. If you look at the snap shot I provided there is a blue rectangle on the left side of the slider. Why is it there? I need to get rid of it. It is on all the images on the slider.

Attached are a snap shot of the slider and the other is the original JPG which is clearer.

Please assist.

Minimum size of the slider image should be 1100 pixels. so if you upload the larger image then it will be perfect for resizing and will not stretch and makes blurry.
