Hello,
Is it possible somehow to use an other widget area than the default?
I have theme the7 in which you can make many widget areas and i have made one only for the recipes as i dont want the default cause else i will have a default widget sidebar with to many and different widgets, something that wouldnt be nice.
While the7 theme allows me to enter in the post the sidebar widget area i want (for each post), i cannot do the same in the recipes which is basically a custom post type.
Thanks in advance for you help.
The theme doesnt have a place to enable or disable an option for showing or hide the widget areas.
It just allows you to make more widget areas for the sidebar and then it allows you to enter the prefered widget area you have created in every post.
So i can make blog posts with widget area 1 and then other blog posts with widget area 2 etc.
For some reason your plugin doesnt allow that.
I found a plugin to “force” that and to show in your recipes the option to choose the widget areas for sidebar.
In case someone else needs a solution and has the same problem on showing and using custom sidebars the plugin is “Custom Sidebars” from WPMU DEV.
Thank you for your time 🙂
