I upgraded to 5.0.1 this evening and lost: my footer, the sociables links and footer copyright area, the top bar, and some of my plugins (Unite Gallery) have stopped working. I was able to get the footer back by resubmitting my previous settings but I can’t seem to get the others back, or the plugins to work again.

Has this happened to anyone else? Where are my top bar and copyright area? What’s the fix?

Those are the widget areas where you have to set the widgets by going to Appearance > Widgets Section. If you don’t know on how to do this then if you can provide us WP Logins to your website with URL then we can fix it. Make sure you set the post as private reply so that only admin can see your wp-logins.
Note: Before providing the wp-logins to any support staff, kindly please make sure you take a backup of everything including wordpress content, theme options, widgets etc.

Thank you. I was able to get the header and footer bars back- not sure about the gallery but I’ll address that with them.

I appreciate the help.
