Hi,
I have included the food category as directed on my menu page, however it comes out as one column.
i don;t see any option for me to display it as multiple columns just like the demo. i am running V 5.0 with Child theme.

We have provided many shortcodes for you to use. You can use [one_half][one_half_last] shortcode to display the content in 2 columns. And there are many column shortcodes you can use that to display in multiple columns.
For eg:
