How to remove the sidebar on Homepage/other pages

    I have an issue and that is, i am unable to remove the sidebar on the homepage or any other page for that matter. I tried changing the default template of pages to other available options(subnavigation, events etc) but that didn’t work out as solution. Please let me know how to go about it.

    My aim is to display the content(text, shortcodes, images etc) in full width and not display sidebar at all.
